AFNI settlement

I had an old collection account end up with AFNI. They contacted me this year and we set up a settlement. I was told they would not be reporting to the credit bureaus if I paid them off. I gave them my credit card info, but they never charged me.

2 months later, they show up on my credit report showing I still owe them. How frustrating when you try to pay something off and they can't even get that right. So my next step is going to try and settle again, but this time have the account removed from my credit report upon payment. I will make sure I get it in writing, I will keep you up to date on what happens.
