AC Verdict: Formally known as FreeCreditReport.com, they used to give you access to your Experian credit report. But now, you only get access to you Experian score with a free 7-day trial. But you still have the best credit improvement tools in the biz (see the screenshots) and if you become a member, it's a pretty darn good price for all three credit reports and your credit score (which is about exactly what you need). Cost:		Completely free - like T.V. (paid for by ads)
Value:	--	Overview of your score. But no account info.
Reports:	--	Just your TransUnion score. No account info.
Score:		TransUnion's proprietary score.
Access:	--	No access to information. Just overview and score.
Tools:	--	Score "potential" tools. But without info, it's no good.

AC Verdict: If you need to improve your credit, you'll need a lot more than Credit Karma has to offer. But it is free... and if you don't mind a ton of ads and offers along the way (and you need to see for yourself what it's all about) go ahead and sign up.

Value:	--	Difficult to use. Redirects you to 3 different sites.
Reports:		All 3. Although you have to go to 3 different places.
Score:	--	You do not get your credit scores unless you pay, $7.95 each. (And for those improving their credit, now's the time to get your score)
Access:	--	Only one copy of each report, once a year for a short time.
Tools:	--	Just the report, unless you pay more.

AC Verdict: The bureaus don't give up much for free unless the law requires them to - so this site is really just a redirect to the bureaus' individual web sites that allow you access to download your credit report once (albeit you can log on to the site and see your report for a while) or get a hardcopy. Everything else (scores, tools) costs extra.
